Cincinnati Reds Family Section

The Cincinnati Reds Family Section is a single section within Great American Ballpark where no alcoholic beverages may be consumed. The Great American Ballpark seating chart shows the Reds Family Section in section 107 in the left field corner.

Cincinnati Reds Family Section is identical to the Reds Terrace Outfield except for the restriction on alcohol. While the theory of a family-safe section attracts families with young children, in practice the Reds Family Section is a section of the Reds Terrace Outfield that cost $2 more per ticket. Since there is no physical division between the Reds Family Section and all the surrounding sections, the lack of alcohol in a small area makes no difference in fan behavior. In addition, because the vast majority of fans at Great American Ballpark are well-behaved and polite, families with children should feel safe in any section throughout the stadium.

Reds Family Section tickets cost $2 more than tickets in the Reds Terrace Outfield. As the Reds Family Section is largely obstructed by the left field foul pole, there is no reason to purchase tickets in this section. Reds Terrace Outfield seats offer a better view and an equally safe area for children at a lower price. Fans who prefer avoiding the sight of alcohol for religious reason will have a few feet of alcohol-free seating around the Reds Terrace Outfield and miles of concourses, walkways, and other sections within the Great American Ballpark where beer is prevalent.
